SOTA ACTIVATION talk – Fri 23rd November 2012

“SOTA ACTIVATION”

Talk by Dr Colwyn Jones MM0YCJ

23rd NOVEMBER 2012 RESOURCES ROOM 1: 19:30 to 21:30

(£2 per person to cover the hire of the room)

Colwyn has two main hobbies climbing hills and amateur radio. A great combination of both is taking part in the “Summits on the Air” (SOTA) activity by climbing a hill and working a few contacts. By making the contacts it offers an aim to climb those illusive hills….

Why not come along to Colwyn’s talk and find out all about SOTA and what is involved plus listen to his experiences along the way.

. I hope you can all make an effort to attend which I know will be an absolutely fascinating talk….

MORSE TRAINING…Starts 18th October

I have now booked two weeks in October to start the Morse Training using the Koch method. If there is enough response on these dates I will book further dates. For information: The last training took a total of 25 weeks to complete.

Dates Booked in the Port Seton Community Centre

THURSDAY      18th OCTOBER 2012      19:00 to 21:00   RESOURCES ROOM 1
THURSDAY      25th OCTOBER 2012      19:00 to 21:00   RESOURCES ROOM 1

The reason the day has changed to Thursday is due to my work commitments making Monday nights difficult to attend.
