MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR

Many thanks to everyone who has supported the radio club over 2012 and before in whatever way that you have as without your efforts and your commitment  we would not be where we are today. Hopefully in 2013 you will continue.

Lastly, I would like to wish each and everyone of you and your families a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY, HEALTHY and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR when it comes.

See you all on club night 11th January 2012…

WINTER SOLSTICE ACTIVITY NIGHT – 19/12/2012

A new event in the club’s calendar for December with the aim to get everyone on the air for a few hours on the evening of the 19th December. A chance to play radio, get away from the TV and have a bit of fun.

See the Forum entry for full information about the event. I have also sent an email to all those on the club’s distribution list which has the Full information.

I hope lots of you will take part…..

Look forward to “working you”

SOTA ACTIVATION talk – Fri 23rd November 2012

“SOTA ACTIVATION”

Talk by Dr Colwyn Jones MM0YCJ

23rd NOVEMBER 2012 RESOURCES ROOM 1: 19:30 to 21:30

(£2 per person to cover the hire of the room)

Colwyn has two main hobbies climbing hills and amateur radio. A great combination of both is taking part in the “Summits on the Air” (SOTA) activity by climbing a hill and working a few contacts. By making the contacts it offers an aim to climb those illusive hills….

Why not come along to Colwyn’s talk and find out all about SOTA and what is involved plus listen to his experiences along the way.

. I hope you can all make an effort to attend which I know will be an absolutely fascinating talk….
