Hi All
there is probally a very simple answer to this, but as yet, i have not been able to work it out, hence the question on here. i am trying to connect my icom7700 to HRD (DM780) in order that i can get the computer to translate the morse i am hearing and thus check what i have translated is correct.
the problem is i can not work out whta i need to achieve this. so can any one let me knopw what additional kit i need, and how i go about it.
many thanks.

OfflineDoes your radio already talk to the HRD via the Com Port on your PC and the Com Port on your radio? If not you will need that cable first. Then HRD will need to be set-up so it can talk to your computer for example 9600 bps (Bits per second), 8 Data Bits, 1 stop bit and N no Parity.
That is the first stage and after that it will be about configuring HRD to do what is necessary….
Hope this helps
OfflineThe audio from your rig will need to be fed to the audio card on your PC via an interface. I use a an Isoterm multicom from G3LIV http://www.melvin2.freeserve.c…..uk/p1.htm. He supplies fairly detailed instructions. With it you can receive PSK, RTTY, CW slowscan etc. If you require help let me know and I can pop up to help. Other interfaces do much the same job and can be used.

yes, HRD already speaks to my PC and vice versa. i also control all other gagets from my PC as well, Rotator and Acom.
