It is possible to erect a 6-ele log periodic with a 20ft boom on a tenement but the damn TV ants make you go QRP. ... See MoreSee Less
Listening to the Deef Auld Bugger net this morning on 80m which is a net of amateurs mainly all around south and central England.
It makes me wonder if some people switch off from learning about radio once they get a licence. They have been moaning recently about lack of propagation and that they have to transmit blindly without hearing anyone on their radio but listening on several European Web SDRs.
This morning, they can all hear each other on the radio and are commenting stuff like "Isn't it great to have propagation ?"
The fact that they have to listen on a distant Web SDR means that their signals are actually being propagated and today that they can hear each other means that they really are not.
And there it is, we're not hearing much from Johnny Foreigner !!!
Yes, they do switch off from learning.
It’s deeper than that. Go for a drive. 70% of drivers replace actual rules with the crap they think.
At work, I’m literally surrounded by people that thought IT peaked with Excel 2010 and everything after that is frippery.
It’s the human condition to resist change and to resist the new.
It makes it amusing for the rest of us. But also bloody irritating.
How can they switch off from learning. They have their licence therefore know it all....right?? 🤔😉 And they'd know more if it wasn't for bleddy foreigners getting in the way
