BLACKPOOL RALLY - 29/4/2018 Interested
Note also sent out on email to CPSARC members
Last year a number of us went to the Blackpool Rally and we stayed in the same hotel...adds to the fun of the trip. We travel down on the Saturday morning arriving roughly about 14:00, check in the hotel then maybe a couple of beers before heading into Blackpool for something to eat and then a "social evening". Get up on the Sunday then attend the rally before heading home.
The question is "ARE YOU INTERESTED IN GOING"?
The plan is once I have numbers I will try and book rooms at a Hotel, hopefully get the same one as we did last year (Carousel Hotel, 663 New South Promenade, Blackpool FY4 1RN).
The Criteria I am setting is as follows so can I ask you to DO IT PLEASE.
** If not interested then do not reply to the email or post as I will make the assumption you are not.
** If YES can you let me know by 1st FEBRUARY
AT THE EXTREME LATEST.
This also applies to ANYONE who has already said they are interested.....PLEASE DO THIS as NO EMAIL or POST IMPLIES to me you are NOT INTERESTED. This may seem harsh but if I am going to book rooms I want to have definitive numbers
** I will try and book TWIN ROOMS but if you require a SINGLE or DOUBLE please say.
I don't know costs as yet as this email is to gauge who is wanting to go as part of the group
Many, Many thanks in advance

A short story about my day so far ! I got tyerd of hand cranking the tower up and down so I invested in a 12v electric winch , it come from eBay yesterday and I fitted it today when I tried it out it broke the gearing see picture.
I suppose I should have got one from somewhere else but you learn from your mistakes.
I would invite advice as to where to get the real deal from as I have learned my lesson with ebay . ... See MoreSee Less
A superwinch terra 45 is recommended winch. It's compact .rated at double the Fulton k2550busedbon versatower towers. It doesn't have a free spool handle Which is good safety feature. Well made and spares available. Best winch for he money circa £250. Goodwinch advertising in radcom want double that!
Thanks Colin I will have a look as soon as I can thanks for the advice.
Adrian Cumming - I have a winch that I sued on ,my tower. the drum has cracked and needs to be replaced, but that only happened due to the loads of my tower and things fitted to it. Needs a good home, and someone to repair it. parts are available, and I think I still have the schematic of the winch. Let me know id this is of interest.
I don't think that eBay is at fault, just that it's perhaps less easy to see what you're buying. If you know a brand and model and can buy on eBay it can be very good. I've bought a lot of stuff there, but it does take some care in selection.
have a look at machine mart site they have a good range ,also winchit on the net
depending on what pull rating you need this site will have what you need www.winch-it.com/products.php?cat=9 .I know someone with a warn 8000lb drum winch ,it is nice and slow , I will ask if he wants to sell it
